Introduction

This WebQuest will allow parents to work with their child on practicing letter recognition and matching abilities. In these fun and interactive games, the students will view the letters of the alphabet, show recognition through various responses, and match letters of the alphabet on a power point game.

***Children will need adult supervision when completing the listed activities***

Process

*      First, we will review all of the letters we have learned this year. We will talk about their name, their sound, and words that begin with that letter.

*      Use the keyboard and this blank Word document to see each letter on the keyboard and how it looks on screen. What happens when you press the “Caps Lock” and type the letters?

*      For a easy, illustrated, and fun way to review the alphabet, check out this website on Alphabet Recognition

*      Love Science? This is a wonderful way to incorporate Alphabet Fun into your science curriculum.

*      Need more practice? View the Additional Alphabet Activities.

*      When you have finished practicing, print out the WebQuest Form and use it to mark your answers while interacting with the Power Point Assessment. Turn this form in by FRIDAY as your Home Fun Assignment.
